Video: 3D Levee from Mobile LiDAR

This mobile LiDAR was collected with a  Trimble MX8 mobile spatial imaging system at a rate of 600,000 points per second.  Digital Terrain Models can be created from this data at survey grade accuracy and can be used to create cross sections and contours.  Other assets such as paint marking and signage can be semi-automatically extracted into a database with metadata.
